WOW! I can't believe that my baby is THREE! Where did the time go and what happened to my baby?
We had a fabulous Birthday celebration this weekend. Grandma came into town on Thursday just as Kendri was kicking the Flu. She was absolutely miserable! We were really worried that we were going to have to cancel the party, but once we found that she was no longer contagious and was feeling better, we decided to go ahead with it.
We had the BEST Dora the Explorer party ever! Complete with coloring, a craft, and an adventure when Swiper swiped the cake. Kendri was super excited and loved having all of her friends here to celebrate. We have been on the "adventure" to find her cake no less then 44 times in the last few days!
On her actual birthday the weather was beautiful. Daddy took her to the store to pick out a kite, and they set out to fly it. They did surprisingly well all things considered although I think that Daddy got more of a work out and Kendri got the entertainment! We also spent a lot of time on the swings and even turned on the bubble machine so that Kendri could swing through the bubbles. Two of her favorites all rolled into one! She requested that I make Spaghetti (skabetti) and meatballs for dinner. We also made cupcakes to take to playgroup but I think that she enjoyed the batter more then the cake...girl after her mommy's heart! We saved presents from Mommy and Daddy as well as Grandma and Grandpa to open as well.
