Sitting up on my own!
Hey All,
Hope that you are well. We have been battling sickness around here and are ready for spring! We are on our third week of someone being sick! First Kendri then Me and now Rylin... I am so OVER it!
Rylin had her 6 month check up last week and our Dr. was very pleased with her development. She is still on the small side at the 25% for weight and weighed in at 14 pounds and 4 ounces. But she is in the 75% for height at 26 1/4 inches long. What girl doesn't want to be thin and tall :)
In the past few weeks she has reached several developmental milestones. She is sitting up on her own and started solid foods. She loves sitting up and is now reaching for the toys that she wants (as well as showing displeasure when Kendri takes the toy she wants). She is a very easy going happy baby and has a smile that will light up the room. She is "talking" a lot now and is often very loud about it! :) Guess she has John's volume control!!
She started solids a few weeks ago and so far is not a big fan. She has tried oatmeal, pears, sweet potatoes and squash. So far her favorites are cereal and sweet potatoes (meaning that she will take a few bites rather then spitting them all out).
This week she came down the same virus that we had as well as spiked a fever of 104.8. We took her to the Dr and found that she has a UTI. That means that we now need to get an ultra sound of her kidneys to be sure that she doesn't have any renal reflux. We have scheduled that appointment for March 15th so keep us in your thoughts and prayers that day. The test in non invasive but still no fun!
I am including some pics of my smiley sweet baby!
