Hey all, Hope that you had a wonderfully spooky Halloween!
We were super busy this weekend. We started out Friday morning by going with our playgroup to Kangaroo Jacs. It is a super fun inflatable play land and the kids had a fantastic time. It is filled with lots of different slides, obstacle courses, jumping houses and tunnels. Kendri loved the slides ... the bigger the better. Which meant that mommy had to do all the climbing to the top while either pushing her from behind or carrying her as I went . . VERY interesting and SO EXHAUSTING! But good times were had by all. All the mommies agreed that they got their workout for the day!
That night we carved our pumpkin. Kendri helped Daddy get out all the pumpkin guts. She was a little timid at first but quickly dove in once we gave her a scraping tool. She was amused by the carving once it was done but didn't have much of a reaction when it was lit. It could have been that we started too close to bedtime and by the time we were finished so was she!
Halloween morning Kendri spent with John's mom. John and his dad had a few things left to finish on the list given to us by the inspector, so I spent most of the morning in the attic, labeling and packing boxes. Once John finished helpng his dad he joined me. We did get a good deal accomplished but have a ton more to go!!!
After nap time we headed over to a playgroup Halloween party. The kids all wore their costumes and played. Most of the kids dressed as animals and were absolutly adorable. Around 6 we decided to all go trick or treating together. The nieghborhood that we were in had lots of houses that went all out. I am not sure that Kendri had any idea what she was doing but she enjoyed knocking on doors and her favorite was a blow up dracula that she talked about for the rest of the night.
Upon returning home, we tried to go to a few houses in our neighborhood. At the third house Kendri came upon a unlit walkway with leaves covering the steps .. she faceplanted . . and that was the END of that! Once we got her home, she really had a good time putting candy into the bags of the kids that came to our house.
We are busy packing, packing, packing and I can't wait for moving day to be here and gone. I am over it! As of this time next week we will have moved and will be cleaning this house for the new owner to do his walk through. SO FUN!
I hope that you all are enjoying the cool weather and are looking forward to the holidays!!
