Hey all! Hope that you are enjoying the beginning of Fall.
We had a very busy weekend last weekend. John got a call on Friday morning from a client that offered him free Tech tickets to the Homecoming game on Saturday. I was very back and forth about going due to the fact that it would be a LONG day if we decided to go. After much convincing, John talked me into it.
John's parents came early Saturday morning and we took off for Tech around 8. We got there just in time to cross the drill field and make it for the introduction of the team. The seats turned out to be great ones and I got excited as soon as we got there. The game was a blow out, 48 Tech 14 Boston College, but we stayed for most of the game. We decided to head to the bookstore to stock up on Tech gear and then went to Sharkey's for wings and beer . . Man I never felt older!! The drive back was uneventful but VERY long and we were both ready to crash by the time that we got home.
On Sunday we decided to go to the pumpkin patch. We went to the Ashland Berry Farm and apparently every one else in Richmond had the same idea. It was crazy busy! The weather was great and the line for the hayride out to the pumpkins really didn't take as long as anticipated. We met David, Meg, and Juliann there and the girls had a great time. I think that Kendri spent more time on the ground (from attempting to run and getting caught in the vines) but she was all smiles! The pumpkin selection was fantastic and we came home with some pretty pumpkins! It was $20 for all you could carry so David did us proud! There were all sorts of activities for the kids but we didn't have the time since we went so late and were pushing nap time. We are planning to go with our playgroup as well so we can take advantage of those things when it is not so busy! I have attached some pics!
Hope that you all are enjoying football season! Go Hokies!!!
