Happy Spring Break!!
We have had some fantastic weather for the past week or so and have taken advantage of every minute of it! We have spent a lot of time outside and have visited a few different parks as well as discovered a duck pond that is close by!
We had an awesome Easter and got some great family time. On Saturday we went to Maymont for their Easter festivities. They had lots of kid friendly events including a bubble machine with a DJ, a petting zoo, and lots of great treats to eat. We headed over to the park around 11 and was greeted with a zillion other people. We decided to walk around first. There were 100 eggs hidden over the 100 acre property and John was CONVINCED that he was going to find one. Needless to say the only thing that he found was a nasty dirty old tennis ball. We packed a lunch so had a really nice picnic and then went to see the other activities. Kendri loved feeding the animals and dancing in the bubbles. To top it off she got her OWN ice cream cone and got to meet the Easter Bunny! It was very exciting.
On Easter Sunday we headed to church and found that both John and I were needed to volunteer in the nursery. Luckily it was Kendri's room and I am hoping that that will help ease the transition next time we take her to drop her off. She has been having a hard time when we leave her lately! After church we went to brunch and then returned home to color eggs. Kendri was amazed and disappointed when we ran out of eggs to dye just when she started getting the hang of it. In the evening we went to John's grandpa's house for dinner. We had an Easter Egg hunt and enjoyed seeing the family.
Monday morning was our big 20 week appointment. We found that the baby is healthy and everything looks great and IT'S A GIRL! It is very exciting and I can already picture the matching outfits in my head ;)
I hope that you all enjoyed your Easter and this fantastic weather!!
Yay for girls! :) Glad Joselynn will have a bff!
